2014 Gibby's Day!
Register and pay for the 2014 Gibby's Day: June 7, 2014
Note from Gibby's Mum:
As most of you are aware we have been unable to run our annual Gibby's Run for the past 3 years due to heavy rain. So with much reluctance, we have decided to retire the run. Don't be sad though! We have thought of something else...
Gibby's Day!
Every year since 2006 we have had a wonderful day regardless of the weather. As you know we even moved the bike run last year to October, but we still had a wonderful family day in June.
So the Gibson family has decided that is what we are going to focus on going forward. Family. Something that Gibby truly loved with a passion.
This year Gibby's Day will be on June 7th, 2014
Entry Fees:
21 and over - $20
10 and over - $10
9 and under - FREE
$50 maximum per family
Activities include: Touch rugby - age 10+. Tricky Tray. Beer truck. Food. Music.
Festivities will commence at noon.
We will pull the tricky tray around 3:30 pm.
We will award the annual scholarship to the latest recipient around 4:30 pm.
We will pull the 50/50 at 5:00 pm, by which time I am guessing that the beer truck will be dry!
So please come and join Gibby's Family Day!
Also, if you are looking for photos from the past couple of years we unfortunately do not have any. However, if any of you out there do have some, please share! You can post on our Facebook page or please send to gibbysmemorial@msn.com and we will have them put on the website.
I look forward to seeing you all on June 7th. I am sure that we will have a great family day!
Thank you everyone,
Gibby's Mum
The Gibby
"The Gibby" is a memorial scholarship fund that the Morris Lions rugby team created to honor their teammate David Gibson, who was a charter member of the Mountville Youth Rugby program.
David was a young man committed and passionate about his family, friends and sports. In his memory, a scholarship award will be presented to a deserving senior on the Lions team at the end of their season. The scholarship is intended to be used toward furthering the recipient's academic or rugby career.
